I grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, a Midwest city that taught me the value of hard work and community. Throughout my childhood, I stayed active through sports and outdoor activities, learning important skills like teamwork, focus, and resilience. I was especially drawn to the strategic side of sports, developing an early habit of analyzing problems thoughtfully. Studying Spanish from kindergarten onward also shaped me, eventually leading to real-world interpreting jobs where I built strong communication skills across cultural lines. Another key influence was helping my family start a restaurant business when I was twelve, giving me firsthand experience with the responsibility and behind-the-scenes work needed to build something from the ground up. These experiences have shaped my values of honesty, hard work, and reliability—qualities I aim to carry forward wherever my path leads.
